Clear information starts with knowing where it comes from, what it means and what it cannot tell you.

What this catalogue covers

The directory includes 1,483 programme records across all 29 institutions in the official 2026 CAO course search. Both Level 8 and Level 7/6 records are included. Each has five year slots for 2022–2026 and separate offer rounds. Missing source cells remain unavailable, never zero.

Programme identities and historical points are separate from editorial profiles. Some records currently provide the CAO identity, official link and points only. All programme pages are included in the sitemap; content coverage is stated on each page. Reviewed subject comparisons remain clearly labelled.

How to read the points

Historical points describe an admissions outcome for a particular year and round. They do not guarantee eligibility or a future offer. Choose courses in your genuine order of preference and check the official entry requirements for your application route.

* means not everyone on that score was offered a place. # identifies a test, interview, portfolio or audition. AQA means all qualified applicants. Where it appears, v refers to a new competition for available places; the wording is kept with each publication’s legend.

Missing data is never zero. A blank Round 2 cell is displayed as “Data unavailable”; we do not infer that the course was closed, newly introduced or not offered. Unlike score systems and applicant cohorts are not used for numeric comparisons.

Our five-year window

The official CAO Level 8 table was checked on 8 September 2026 and explicitly identifies 2026 Round 1 and Round 2. The latest Round 1 window is therefore 2022–2026. We do not choose a year merely because it is the current calendar year.

Rounds, symbols and discrepancies

The historical spreadsheets store Round 1 and Round 2 in separate columns; random-selection asterisks may be in an adjacent cell. We preserve the original cell values and combine the corresponding value and symbol for display. End-of-season values are not substituted for Round 1.

For example, Trinity’s course page quotes 533 for TR033 in 2025, while the official CAO workbook records 543 at Round 1 and 533* at the end of the season. The directory uses 543 for its Round 1 series. The year and round explain this difference; it is not silently overwritten.

Programme content and identities

Broad study areas are generated from published programme titles for navigation. They are separate from focused subject rosters: joint degrees may appear in several areas, and a shared area does not establish equivalent curricula or professional recognition. Unclassified titles appear under Other & broad-entry study routes.

Course summaries are written in original language from the exact official programme pages. Source links, applicable years and actual review dates appear on each course page. Modules can change and optional opportunities are identified as such.

Historical records are matched by original code and published name. Recognised campus labels appended in the current publication are treated separately from the course name; historical campus continuity is not asserted. Changed titles are held for identity review and their source records are shown separately. No histories are transferred between different codes or through institution mergers automatically.

Subject mappings consider the programme’s focus and route. BESS is marked as a common-entry pathway; this does not imply that every eventual award is equivalent to Commerce or Business Studies. Psychology comparisons do not assert equivalent professional recognition.

Updates and corrections

Sources are downloaded outside visitor requests. A validated snapshot powers the site. An incomplete download, changed source hash, duplicate identity or failed parse leaves the previous verified snapshot in place. Changes are reviewed before publication; missing rows never automatically delete a course.

Latest source retrieval: 8 September 2026. Editorial coverage varies by programme; this is not a catalogue-wide review date. The next annual update requires verification of the latest official Round 1 publication and a fresh review of programme details.
